This company specialises exclusively in business-to-business parcel deliveries. They have a fine-tuned business model based around business-critical deliveries and cost-effective operational procedures.

After having used Presence products and services in the past at a previous company, their IT Director decided to overhaul their current security systems based on Presence’s recommendations.

Given the number of users and the traffic passing through the boxes, we proposed a dual Nokia IP380 solution running a Check Point NGX Express licence, this being managed by a SecurePlatform based Check Point Management server, to provide best in breed security for the company. Remote user access was provided based upon Check Points SecureClient and Integrity Server products for thorough compliancy and security. The Integrity server makes sure that each and every remote user is fully compliant to the company’s remote access policy before allowing them access to their internal systems.

Web content checking is provided by Clearswifts MIMESweeper for Web, as this gives virus scanning (using the company’s current AV provider) as well as checking HTML for inappropriate content.

Lastly, email content filtering was provided by using the best in breed software, MIMESweeper for SMTP, as this fulfilled all of the customer’s requirements and whose anti-spam techniques proved to be more comprehensive than other products we have evaluated.
